*We were given complimentary passes for our visit. However, our opinions are all our own*
While we were vacationing in Southern Ohio, we went to the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens for the day.
First of all, what a beautiful zoo! As a family who is trying to be more green to see an attraction that is trying to be more green!
To learn more about the Cincinnati Zoo, you can click here to go directly to their website. This Zoo remains open year round!
“The Zoological Society of Cincinnati was founded in 1873 and officially opened its doors in 1875, making the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden the second oldest Zoo in the United States”.
When you are visiting the Zoo, you can see the history as well as the progress the Zoo has made. To know the Ohio has the second oldest Zoo in the US is pretty cool!
Here are some pictures of our visit:
The Cincinnati Zoo is home to 24 Animal Exhibits. They also have a Safari Train Ride and a Conservation Carousel. There are also Animal Encounters (weather dependent) such as Goats, Manatees, Sifaka, Polar Bears, Cheetahs, Wings of Wonder and Blakely’s Barn Yard Bonanza Show.
The Botanical Gardens are a beautiful addition throughout the Zoo. We particularly loved the planters with the edible garden arrangements! What a great inspiration!

We definitely plan to visit the Cincinnati Zoo again the next time we are in Cincinnati! It is one of the most beautiful and upkept Zoos! There are so many exhibits, nice air conditioned places to eat and so many beautiful gardens!
Thank you to the Warren County CVB for providing us with the complimentary tickets to visit!
