This is a travel review by one of my contributors on “Savvy Sightseeing Moms”. Recently she and her family visited Gattitown in Lexington Kentucky through a promotion via US Family Guide. The review below is her honest review and the photos she took herself.
After a family outing in New Haven, Kentucky our road trip lead us to Lexington’s own Gattitown on Nicholasville Road. We were greeted by smiling faces as we entered the door. The atmosphere was very energetic as children and parents alike giggled, and played games.
Gattitown offers the choice of a few different dining areas; the fun flix- movie theather style dining, Wgtv- for the sport enthusiast, town hall- which serves as a meeting area as well, Gatti Cafe- functions as a good old fashioned dining experience. Our family curiously wondered around the restaurant looking at the different dinning areas before unanimously choosing to sit in the fun flix room. Inside the fun flix room we enjoyed watching “The Nut Job”. The movie was very appropriate for children of all ages, and us adults were as interested as the children! Each dining area was very well maintained by friendly staff.
We gorged ourselves with fresh baked assorted pizza’s, cheesy breadsticks, and our family favorite for dessert was the cinnamon rolls!
After eating we strolled over to “Midway USA” to play games, ride bumper cars, virtual simulators, and ride the beautiful carousel. All the games that we played in “Midway USA” were in great working order. Like everything else in our fast paced world the arcades have evolved, paper tickets are a thing of the past. Tickets now are added to your midway card as they are earned, which makes it easier to move from game to game, and the children like the sense of adulthood that carrying midway card brings them.
After all the credits were spent on our midway card we went into Gatti Goods Store. For a total of 594 tickets we traded for a battery operated train set, a slap bracelet, and a few pieces of candy! We were very satisfied with our trades!
Thank you to Gattitown and US Family Guides for allowing us to participate in this promotion! Our family had a terrific time and we can’t wait until our next family trip to Gattitown in Lexington, Kentucky!
