Are there really reusable paper towels?
As you know in one of my earlier posts, we made the decision to switch from using paper towels at meal times to using cloth napkins. You can read about that journey here.
I recently learned about NatureZway which happens to be a company that offers products made from renewable and sustainable sources that don’t break the bank. One of the reasons we switched from paper towels to cloth napkins was due to the sheer number of paper towels that go into the landfills daily! That is a lot of excess going into our landfills!
One of their products that I am looking forward to trying myself are the NatureZway Perforated Towels! They are rayon made from bamboo that feel and perform just like cloth! According to their site, one sheet can be rinsed up to 100 times (based on usage) and used repeatedly!
I know some of you are thinking if these perforated towels last that long, then they have to be out of my budget?! Right?! They are actually quite affordable! The Perforated Towels are available for a remarkably wallet friendly $2.99 – $3.99. They are available at select Northern California Costco locations, Target.com , reusueti.com and at select HyVee, Select Bed Bath & Beyond retailers & County Markets. They are also available at Amazon!
Another of their products that I think is pretty cool are the NatureZway rayon made from Bamboo Floor Wipes! They are both soft and strong and able to tackle the toughest jobs including lint pick up, dust and dirt! They are designed to fit most cleaning tools and can be used dry or wet and they are safe on any household surface! Tile, wood and laminate! Another change we made at the same time was to quit using our dry/wet refillable mop and switch to another product which uses steam and water to clean our floor surfaces. That way we didn’t have to buy the refills. However, this would be a nice way to buy refillables since they are made from bamboo! Floor Wipes retail for $3.99 – $4.99. They are available at select Northern California Costco locations, Target.com , reusueti.com and at select HyVee, Select Bed Bath & Beyond retailers & County Markets.
The raw material to make this rayon is from Bamboo. Bamboo is the best renewable and sustainable material on earth. Bamboo grows quickly and is plentiful, and it uses less water than trees. Plus, there’s no need for pesticides to keep it growing and it also reduces soil erosion. You can feel good knowing when you throw away NatureZway products they leave little to no harm to the earth.
If you are looking for more environmentally friendly products, definitely check out NatureZway!
