“Lou Year’s Eve” will Offer a Family-Friendly Option for New Year’s Eve
Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 31st from 2:00 pm to Midnight to spend the day in downtown Louisville at Lou Year’s Eve 2016!
I love celebrating New Year’s Eve with my family! Granted before kids, we spent it with our friends, however now it’s all about spending time with our kids! I love finding events that are family friendly! When I heard about a new event in Louisville that is family friendly, I knew I had to share it with you!
This fun celebration will be held on West Main Street between 3rd and 9th Streets. There will be more than 20 venues and there will be all kinds of yummy food, thirst quenching beverages, performers, story-telling, dance, magicians, music and art!
Some of the highlights your family can experience are the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, the KMAC Museum, a People’s Procession that will start at 5:00 pm on Main Street, live music and entertainment, the Frazier History Museum, the Kentucky Science Center, and an adult beverage garden that will open at 6:00 pm at The Kentucky Center.
And since no New Year’s Eve party would be complete without a countdown to Midnight, there will be fun surprises to ring in the New Year.
Tickets will be available for purchase beginning Nov. 1st at www.louyearseve.com. Tickets are $8 in advance/$10 at the door for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and its free admission for children 5 and under.
