One of the things we always do is search out favorite local restaurants everytime we travel. Some think that Pigeon Forge is full of chain restaurants. Don’t get me wrong, they do have chains there but they also have amazing local places like The Old Mill Pottery House Café & Grille!
We asked Jimbo Whaley of Hearthside Cabin Rentals where he would suggest we eat. He mentioned a couple of places, one of which was The Old Mill Pottery House Café & Grille.
If you aren’t familiar where this restaurant is, it is literally right across from The Old Mill Restaurant in Pigeon Forge. We’ve eaten several times at The Old Mill so this time we wanted to try something new!
I love that this restaurant has a bit of history to it. It is housed in the former home of Douglas Ferguson who was Pigeon River Pottery’s founding pottery. When you walk into the dining room, you will notice that the original stone floors line the dining room and you will be greeted by a large stone fireplace!
We all found something we loved, including the kids! They were all happy with their meals. I was especially happy with mine! Of course I had a sweet tea and a Hot Brown and do you see this mashed potatoes? They were delish!!!
If you are looking a different dining choice when we are in Pigeon Forge, definitely check out The Old Mill Pottery Café & Grille.
